End of the academic year

 

This week is the last week of term 3 at the Tavistock and Portman.

This blog will be on hiatus until the start of the academic year 2017-2018 next September.

Welcome to the library! - 2015

Today is the first day of the first term of this academic year so I thought it was an appropriate time to re-open this blog!

For this first post of the academic year, I wanted to wish a warm welcome to all of our new students and encourage them to come and visit us in the library.

I wish you all a very happy new year!
May it be filled with projects, success and joy!

As for this blog, I wish this year to convert all of you to the use of RSS feeds. They are incredibly useful but, every time I ask around who know about them during training sessions, the only answer I get is resounding silence... So it's time to change this!
Throughout the term, I will be publishing articles explaining to you exactly what they are, why you should use them and how. And I predict that your whole world will be changed... Well, as far as your information skills go at least!

So, once again, I send you my best wishes for 2015. And I will see you next week for our first post about RSS feeds...

Re-launching our information skills blog

Up till know, this blog has been fairly static. Its pages are full of interesting resources but I didn't have much occasion for updating it.

But as the start of term is almost upon us, I've decided to shake things up. From now on, I will publish here all the new documents I'm creating, the tutorials I'm publishing online and updates on all the resources you can access from the Tavistock & Portman library.

Also, I will answer questions from real students, that I was asked during training sessions or that I received by email. And you can send me yours!

If you don't want to miss anything, I encourage you to subscribe to email updates using the small form on the right-hand side of the site.
